The Beebe Community Wind Farm was online in 2012 with 34 Nordex turbines generating approximately 81 MW. Owned by Exelon Wind with electricity purchased by Consumers Power.
The project was started in 2009 by a local engineer and farmer named Mark Hull. He secured a $50,000 REAP grant that covered part of the initial feasibility study. Today, the wind farm is commercially viable and exceeding production expectations.
