?Bad, Axe, Mich – A press release issued by the Bad Axe Police Department advised on an investigation into a January 19 fraud case involving the Michigan Lottery and credit cards in Bad Axe led to the arrest of two West Michigan men. On March 13, Bad Axe Police, with assistance from Kalamazoo Public Safety, Kalamazoo Township Police, Battle Creek Police, and the Michigan Department of Corrections, executed search warrants at residences in Kalamazoo Township and Battle Creek. A 25-year-old Kalamazoo Township man and a 25-year-old Battle Creek man were arrested on charges related to the fraud investigation and probation violations. Their names are being withheld pending arraignment. ?

In February, three individuals from Flint were arrested in Watertown, South Dakota, for using fraudulent credit cards to purchase lottery tickets and goods. Similarly, in November 2024, two individuals from Akron, Ohio, were arrested in Houghton, Michigan, for buying lottery tickets with stolen credit cards. ?
