A $413,534 project focuses on strategies for voltage control and transient stability — essential for ensuring reliable power delivery as wind generation scales up.

In addition, their cutting-edge offshore projects seek to understand how extreme wave and ice conditions affect wind structures in the Great Lakes, preparing for future deployments in challenging environments.

National Labs and Michigan Companies Collaborate on High-Tech Solutions

Michigan firms are teaming up with national laboratories like Sandia National Laboratories on major projects.

The ARROW(e) Assessment Robot project, funded at $1 million, is developing advanced robotics for resilient wind energy assessment.
