Extreme cold has forced the postponement of Caseville’s Shanty Days winter festival. Events will now take place February 20, 21, 22. This marks the first time the iconic event in the upper thumb has been impacted by sub-zero temps and negative wind chills.
Some die yards were seen at the broomball rink but all other outdoor events will take place next weekend. High winds and blowing snow off of Saginaw Bay have made driving difficult and white out conditions have been taking place along areas of M-25.
