Hocus Pocus Pickins’ returns to Goodells County Park on Oct. 11 with vintage vendors, Michigan-made goods, food trucks and traditional fall activities. A new Heritage Sportsman Expo expands the event’s focus to outdoor recreation.
GOODELLS, Mich. — The Goodells Fall Market will return to St. Clair County on Oct. 11 with antiques, Michigan-made goods, food trucks and family activities, but organizers are adding something new for 2026: the Heritage Sportsman Expo.
The one-day festival is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Goodells County Park, 8201 Lapeer Road. Heritage Vintage Market is organizing the event.
Organizers are promoting the 2026 edition as bigger than previous markets with the addition of the Heritage Sportsman Expo, which is expected to bring outdoor gear and sportsman-oriented vendors into the event. Current event announcements describe the expo as new this year.
The addition puts hunting, fishing and other outdoor interests alongside a market traditionally centered on vintage items, antiques, crafts and seasonal goods.
Specific sports vendors have not yet been publicly listed on the organizer’s main event page, so visitors primarily interested in that portion of the festival may want to check for updates as Oct. 11 approaches.
Vintage Market Meets Fall Festival
Hocus Pocus Pickins’ has grown beyond a traditional antique market.
Organizers say this year’s marketplace will include vintage merchandise, antiques, local artisan products, fall clothing and seasonal home décor. Michigan-made products and a variety of food trucks are also planned.
Demand from sellers appears strong. The organizer reports that indoor vendor space is already sold out, while outdoor vendor spaces remain part of the event setup.
Families will find a separate set of fall activities around the park. Plans include hayrides, a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, costumed characters, dancing witches, and photo stations. Giveaways and door prizes are also advertised.
Admission is $5, with children 12 and under admitted free. Parking is free, according to published event information.
The mix makes the event part vintage market, part Halloween celebration and, beginning this year, part outdoor show.
Goodells County Park Adds Its Own History
The setting gives the fall market another connection to St. Clair County history.
Goodells County Park covers 366 acres near the center of the county. Along with trails, recreation areas and event facilities, the park contains a historical village and the St. Clair County Farm Museum.
The historical village includes several 19th-century buildings moved to the park for preservation. Among them are the 1860 Columbus Bible Church, an 1863 log cabin, an 1872 farmhouse and an 1885 Lynn Township schoolhouse.
The St. Clair County Farm Museum occupies historic agricultural buildings connected to the former county farm that once operated on the property. That rural setting makes the park a natural site for an event mixing antiques, fall traditions and outdoor recreation.
The county park also includes walking and mountain bike trails, picnic areas, playgrounds and large open spaces used for festivals and community events throughout the year.
New Sportsman Expo Broadens the Audience
The Heritage Sportsman Expo could be the most significant change to Hocus Pocus Pickins’ this fall.
Outdoor recreation remains a major part of life across St. Clair County and Michigan’s Thumb. Hunting, fishing, camping and boating also overlap with the audience already drawn to vintage equipment, rural history and Michigan-made products.
Rather than creating a separate outdoor show, organizers appear to be placing the sportsman component inside an established fall festival.
That could give families with different interests more reason to make the trip. One visitor can shop antiques while another checks outdoor vendors, with food trucks and seasonal activities filling out the afternoon.
Heritage Vintage Market has several Michigan events on its 2026 calendar, including a fall market at the Bay County Fairgrounds on Oct. 4 and a Christmas market in Frankenmuth in November. Hocus Pocus Pickins’ follows one week after the Bay City event.
For the Goodells market, however, the new sportsman component represents a notable change to the formula.
Hocus Pocus Pickins’ is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at Goodells County Park, 8201 Lapeer Road in Goodells. Event information and vendor updates are available through the Heritage Vintage Market Hocus Pocus Pickins’ page.
