A Week of Huron Community Fair

Huron County FairThe highlight festival time in the Thumb kicks off this year at the  150th Huron Community Fair, running Sunday through Saturday, July 29 – August 4th! The fair opens Sunday, July 29, with free parking. Check out the 2 p.m. grandstand event featuring Indian Trails Rodeo, and the 4-H Horse Show begins at 5 p.m. The Opening Ceremony and Flag Raising is open to all at the center of the Livestock Arena at 7:00 p.m., followed by livestock judging at the Swine Barn Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Fair Monday at Bad Axe Fairgrounds

Huron County FairStarting Monday, July 30, at 8 a.m. The 4-H Horse Show begins at 9 a.m., and the 4-H and FFA Building and Merchant Building will be open from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. The Sheep Show begins at 1 p.m.,  The Elkton Lions Bingo runs from 3 – 10 p.m., and stop by the Arena to see the 4-H Talent Show, the 4-H Ambassador Court Program and the Huron County Bean Queen at 6 p.m.

Huron Community Fair Midway Fun Tuesday Kids Day

Huron County Fair Tuesday, July 31, offers the Rabbit Show, Swine Show, Horse Show, Dairy Show, and the judging in the 4-H Building for food, flowers, vegetables, and crops. Beginning at 11 a.m., visitors can tour the 4-H and FFA Building, the Merchant Building, and the 4-H Small Animal Building. The Miracle of Life Pavilion and various afternoon performances of the Lumberjack Chainsaw Show can be seen all week long

Tuesday is Kids Day with the Midway opening at 1 p.m. with a reduced ride bracelet rate.  Tractor Pull at 6 p.m. at the Arena. Fireworks at dusk.

Wednesday Midweek at the Huron Community Fair

Huron County FairWednesday, August 1st including the 4-H and FFA Prospect Feeder Show at 9 a.m., the Horse Show, and the Poultry Show. The Midway opens at 3 p.m.,  Wednesday’s Grandstand event will be the Combine Demolition Derby and Lawn Mower Race at 7 p.m., and free entertainment by  Spring Street Boys in the main tent from 7 – 10 p.m.

Thursday is Extra Special at the Huron Community Fair

Thursday, August 2nd, features the Special Needs Kids Event, the Market Beef Show, the Goat Show,  Midway opens at 3 pm. Country music entertainer DeWayne Spaw will start as at 7 p.m., and Grandstand Event begins at 7:30 p.m., for the  Super Kicker Rodeo and Barrel Racing!

Final Friday at the Huron Community Fair 

Huron County FairFriday,  August 3rd, the Jr. Livestock Auction Sale begins at 9 a.m., and the Dog and Cat Show begin at 10 a.m. The Midway opens at 3 p.m. Draft Horse Cart Classes begin at 6 p.m.; and the Small Livestock Sweepstakes Contest begins at 7 p.m. Friday’s Grandstand Event, which will be the Redneck Truck Races at 7 p.m.Huron County Fair

Saturday is Final Day at Huron Community Fair

Huron County FairThe final full day of the fair is Saturday, August 4th, with the Small Livestock Association Sale and 4-H Auction beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, the Midway opens at noon. Saturday night’s Grandstand Event is the TTPA Tractor Pull Smoker Class at 5 p.m.

  1. Unfortunately I missed the Huron Community Fair this year. I had heard that there was going to be a new carnival this past year and from the looks of the pics you posted there were. Looks like it was a fun time and I will have to make sure I get there this coming summer!

      These shots were from several years ago. Our family has enjoyed the fair for years. Now that the kids are older there is less interest. Thanks for stopping by.
