Huron County blocks off an public lake access point and boat ramp at Oak Beach County Park. Used for over 50 years by fishermen and kayakers. A group has formed to protest and seek improvements to the boat launch.
Wind project developer, Liberty Power, proposes a project to add more turbines to its portfolio in the Upper Thumb. The hearing will review the application and take comments from the public.

Harbor Beach Lighthouse Preservation Society has announced it has completed the refinishing of the exterior of the lighthouse tower. The year long project was completed by local businesses and residents. Tours restarted June 2021.
Port Crescent State Park’s huge beach, a great campground, and is a Dark Sky Preserve. All on the site of an 1800s lumbering ghost town.
In its large campground, you can literally set up your tent or RV on the beach’s edge.
Port Hope is nestled on the shore of Lake Huron in Michigan’s Thumb. Rich in history, this tiny village is perfect to walk and explore its late 19th century architecture.
