Port Austin Winter Carnival

After a Decade in Hibernation, The Port Austin Winter Carnival Returns

Almost 50 years ago, Port Austin was the place to get a team together and play broomball at the annual winter carnival. Back in the day, the event was huge, with parades and the Winter Carnival Queen’s crowning. Even postcards were published.

The Port Austin Winter Carnival returns after an 11-year hiatus. While the focus will be the broomball tournament, the village’s new ice arena will be hosting several events. The festivities begin on Friday, February 5th, and run through Sunday, February 7th.
