The ten-piece collection includes a diverse array of works, from the kinetic energy of Reginald Marsh’s “Savoy Ballroom,” to the serene tranquility of Claude Monet’s “Round Flower Garden.” Kwesi Owusu Ankomah’s abstract “Movement #27” lives in harmony with Frederic Edwin Church’s romantic “Cotopaxi” landscape, while the historical significance of the “Ishtar Gate, Dragon of Marduk,” a piece of Neo-Babylonian art, provides a touch of ancient allure.
Engaging with Nature and Art
The Huron County Nature Center has a dual mission: to conserve Michigan’s forests and to make these green spaces available for public enjoyment. By adding the artwork from DIA’s Inside|Out Program, an additional layer of fascination has been added to the visitor’s center.
