Cedar Point Elevates Thrills With Siren’s Curse Tilt Coaster

SANDUSKY, Ohio – Cedar Point® is set to electrify adrenaline junkies with the 2025 launch of Siren’s Curse, a cutting-edge tilt coaster that will claim the title of the tallest, fastest, and longest of its kind in North America. The announcement underscores Cedar Point’s standing as a premier destination for thrill seekers, further cementing its moniker as “The Roller Coaster Capital of the World.

The coaster, inspired by Lake Erie’s legendary sirens, promises two minutes of relentless action, beginning with a 160-foot ascent atop an old shipping crane. Riders will be suspended momentarily on a “broken” track before tilting 90 degrees into a nerve-wracking vertical drop. Carrie Boldman, Cedar Point’s Vice President and General Manager, called it a “first-of-its-kind” ride, tailored to deliver an unforgettable thrill as passengers peer straight down, waiting for the track to align below.

Located near the Cedar Point Marina and Iron Dragon coaster, Siren’s Curse is part of Cedar Point’s strategy to pack high-thrill experiences into compact, creatively designed spaces. The ride, requiring a minimum rider height of 48 inches, will open in early summer, but enthusiasts can get a sneak peek through the park’s social media channels and construction updates on its website.

Gold Pass Offers Early Access and Exclusive Perks

Park officials are sweetening the pot with the 2025 Gold Pass, now available for $125.
