Today marks the start of a series inspired by fellow blogger Catherine Beeman. Catherine is an avid reader and book reviewer with ten years of bookselling experience. We will be sharing a series of Catherine’s Michigan Monday for the next six weeks.
The first post is about noted Michigan author James Harrison. Jim was a prolific and gifted writer publishing over three dozen books in several styles, including poetry, fiction, nonfiction, children’s literature, and a memoir. His breakout work came in 1978 with the publication of the trilogy “Legends of the Fall,” which was made into a movie starring Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. Harrison passed away in 2016.
