The final weekend. It always comes too fast. To some, the final days of Caseville Cheeseburger is deemed the best. Friday’s highlight was the grand opening of Chuck’s Coffee. Saturday go out to the beach and downward dog with a new event, Yoga on the Beach.  in the late afternoon Row, Row, Row Your Cardboard Boat with Fireworks after the last show in the Amphitheater. Sunday is the classic car showdown at the county beach. Be safe and enjoy one of the final weekends of the 2018 summer season.

Lyn Bezemek came up with an idea for an end-of-summer festival in 1999. The first festivals saw a attendance of about 5,000 people from around the Upper Thumb attended the first Cheeseburger festival. The even grew from a three-day weekend int the a 10-day festival of today. Cheeseburger in Caseville includes concerts, local art vendors, street-side bars, grilling cheeseburgers and the highlight of the festival, The Parade of Tropical Fools.

Up to 80,000 people attend the parade which can last up to two hours. Thousands of beads, candies, Frisbees, and other miscellaneous objects are thrown to the crowd from the floats and marchers reminissent of Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
