Site of the Former Riverside Roadhouse In Caseville Up For Sale

It appears that the Riverside Roadhouse will not be rebuilt. The property is up for sale. In August 2016 an early morning fire at Riverside in Caseville left the historic building a smoldering wreck and a complete loss for the business. The building was over one hundred years old.

The lot is listed at $260,000 and includes the liquor license. The property is listed with Brad Winningham at the Keller Williams Realty in Shelby Township Michigan.

Two Historic Caseville Businesses Succumb to Fire

A year after the fire a 2017 story in the Huron Daily Tribune hinted that the Riverside Roadhouse would be rebuilt. The HDT reported that permits from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and the Army Corps of Engineers are the only things holding up the rebuilding process.

The empty lot sits across the Pigeon River from another building that was destroyed by fire. The Key North Surf Shop was heavily damaged by a fire on December 23, 2021. The building was declared a total loss and torn down.
