WMU Students Reveal Kalamazoo’s Hidden Burial Ground Beneath South Westnedge City Park
Western Michigan University students in HIST 3404 are exploring Kalamazoo’s first Euro-American cemetery, revealing the early city’s history. Led by Professor Evan Kutzler, they are creating a digital exhibition highlighting settlers’ lives and contributions. A public presentation is scheduled for December to share their findings and engage the community.
