Wild Fowl Bay Port is in western Huron County, on the southeast side of Saginaw Bay, an arm of Lake Huron. The community is in Fairhaven Township, with a small piece extending east into McKinley Township.
Its known for its 13,000 acre Wildfowl Bay State Game Area between Bay Port and Sebewaing. The area consists of Heistermans Island, Middle Ground Island, Maisau Island, Defous Island Lone Tree Island and PItcher Reef Island to the south.
Known for the ability for birders to get up close to wildlife and offer amazing views, the Fish Point Wildlife Area is a large sanctuary. With over 3,700 acres and including about seven miles along the Saginaw Bay shoreline.
