West Branch
West Branch’s depot, downtown streets and community gatherings appear in historical photographs from the first half of the 1900s. This Michigan Moments video follows the Ogemaw County town through changes in travel, commerce and daily life.
Early automobiles, parades and wartime departures place the railroad town within wider events. The photographs connect public institutions with personal moments of family and community life, showing how West Branch changed between the early 1900s and the years after World War II.
