The Wildlife Recovery Association, a non-profit organization, has dedicated decades to promoting the understanding and protection of wild birds of prey. Joe Rogers, a seasoned wildlife conservationist, has spent nearly thirty years working on reintroducing and monitoring peregrine falcons across Michigan. His efforts, supported by the Michigan Nongame Wildlife Fund and partnerships with the Ottawa National Forest, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and The Nature Conservancy, have been instrumental in preserving these magnificent birds.
Joe’s wife, Barb Rogers, has also played a significant role in the organization’s field studies. With over 28 years of experience, Barb has researched and monitored various birds of prey, including bald eagle nest studies and peregrine falcon reintroduction projects. Together, they have cared for countless orphaned and injured raptors, rehabilitating and releasing them back into the wild.
An Unforgettable Experience
