Michigan Thumb A Hot Spot for Michigan Covid Rate

Recent data from public health agencies and testing results from the Michigan Covid rate have tagged Huron, Sanilac, and St. Clair counties as being at extremely high risk for COVID-19.

Over the past two weeks, the case of those tested for COVID-19 have increased to an average of 39 cases a day and is considered extremely high. However, the total number of those requiring hospitalization has decreased in the Upper Thumb. Deaths have remained at about the same level. Those testing positive in Huron, Sanilac, and St. Clair counties are very high.

The state of Michigan reported 8,202 new COVID-19 cases and 8 additional deaths attributed to the virus over the past two days. The average number of new confirmed cases is 4,101 per day.
