Nice place. Tables and bathrooms needed attention for guests to feel a little safer about germ spreading. Loved the shareable and wine.

Find a table and have a great time. Tasty food, beers, and cherry-flavored drinks. There might be a line for the bathroom, but who cares? Grab a beer and nurse it while you wait, and make some friends

Normally we head to the main location, but this one took me by surprise! The atmosphere in their private room was exquisite! The main employees were so kind and welcoming, and they answered all of our questions with ease. This specific location is a bit more intimate, but the quality is still there.
google
We had a nice time there. We did the wine tasting of course. 15 dollars for 4 different wines of your choosing. They also offer a military appreciation discount which is nice and appreciated.
google
Don’t ask questions, the employees don’t seem to like it. We sat down for the taste of the season event and asked a few questions about how things worked and the employee snapped at us and stated that it should have been explained at the front desk. We asked a few more questions and realized that she was going to continue to be snotty. This wasn’t a friendly place and I’m not spending my money here. The employees seem pretty unhappy and don’t make eye contact. I’ll skip this one next year. Ruined our whole mood. We just came from a very energetic and friendly winery with great staff to this.
google
Had a very nice experience here. Wonderful location in a beautiful, scenic spot, cozy tasting room and friendly staff. The wines were not my favorite- but, I’ve been all over the world and tasted wines from everywhere, so I’m a bit of a wine snob. They have a decent Chardonnay and Riesling. Their reds didn’t do much for me.
google
we visit this location also. Another great and quality facility,
with wine testing and private tour . Thanks' our friend, Vlady for his time , quality wine and brandy he makes, and professionalism.
google
Alright. It wasn’t extraordinary but it was still a fun spot to try some wines. The servers were very friendly but maybe not as talkative or didn’t have time to share what they knew about the different wines they had. The scenery was decent but I think service, selection, and view wise you can find better nearby.

Arcturos Sur Lie Chardonnay

The Arcturos Sur Lie Chardonnay from Black Star Farms is a remarkable white wine that beautifully represents the terroir of Northwest Michigan. This unoaked Chardonnay stands out for its unique aromatic profile and taste. It features flinty and steely aromas, which are characteristic of the region’s soil and climate, combined with the classic fruit flavors of Chardonnay – apple, citrus, and pear. These flavors create a refreshing and well-balanced wine that is reflective of a good vintage in the region.

This particular wine exemplifies the winemaking philosophy at Black Star Farms, where the focus is on letting the natural qualities of the grape and the influence of the local terroir shine through. The absence of oak in the aging process allows the wine to maintain a crisp and pure expression of the Chardonnay grape. It’s a wine that would likely appeal to those who enjoy a crisper, more fruit-forward Chardonnay, reminiscent in style to some of the classic Chablis or Macon wines. The Arcturos Sur Lie Chardonnay is a testament to the quality and diversity of wines that can be produced in Michigan.

This is an unoaked Chardonnay from the 2016 vintage. There are flinty and steely aromas combined with classic Chardonnay fruit flavors of apple, citrus, and pear. This is a wonderful medium-bodied dry Chardonnay. Great for savory foods, cheeses, roast chicken, and pork.

We visited today as part of the winter wine pass in TC. This was easily the worst winery on the stop, as you cannot choose your tastings, but they have pre-chosen flights. When a manager stopped by and asked how everything was, I gave my opinion that flights should be chosen by the customer with the hopes of buying a bottle based on their taste. She responded "well we can't please everyone". This winery gave me the only negative experience in the many years we have been coming to the city, plus the wine was horrible... but that might be because they chose the wines for us.
google
4 of us where on a girl's trip WITH a driver and they would not serve us because "she is obviously over serviced and we don't want to lose our license". "she" WAS NOT EVEN DRUNK, NONE OF US WERE DRUNK!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!
They made us drink water before we could order but wouldn't let us order.
AGAIN, I WILL NOT GO BACK!!
google
I was extremely disappointed with our experience at your winery. We were having a fabulous day celebrating the engagement of my best friends soon to be daughter-in-law. When we first got in we were laughing not causing any disturbance and we were treated with pure rudeness and condescending attitude from the girls behind the bar. I totally understand the responsibility of not serving people who they felt may have be in danger of driving. We had a designated driver that we specifically paid for our tour. We not
Only introduced him but we were told they would not serve us. Your loss… best check out the service in wineries around you, where we laughed and enjoyed. My suggestion to anyone is go to Bry’s, Chanteu Chantal and Bonobos.. excellent wine and great service. We will never go back to Bowers
google
Selection is great, but good luck if you’re not a member. We came here for a tasting and received such horrible service because we were not members. They made it extremely clear to us that if we were not members, we had to sit outside (in freezing snow weather instead of inside).
google
Refused to serve us because we were laughing. We had a driver and were hoping to have flight. We even showed them we had a driver. They were pretentious and rude. Other tables enjoyed our company. I have been there before however will never go there again.
google
Visited one of our previous favorite wineries today and we were quite disappointed. We could not get a flight of choice and the least expensive flight was 28 dollars. The server literally sat with her face in her computer at a short distance from us. It was quite uncomfortable and I missed the atmosphere we had previously had and the conversation you look for when visiting establishments like that! Will not be back and that makes me sad!

This particular wine comes from the Old Mission Peninsula appellation, adding a unique regional touch to its character. For more information, you can visit Bowers Harbor Vineyards here.

Hard to find and a bit expensive than most white wines from the Old Mission Peninsula. This wine took silver in the 2013 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Noted lemongrass nose. Surprisingly complex. Good accompanied with pork or fish.

An absolutely gorgeous place to stay with staff who go above and beyond. We look forward to seeing the owner, Bob, every year at breakfast when we stay at the B & B - you can see how much he obviously enjoys folks visiting this little piece of heaven

We had written Chateau Chantal off some years ago after having some snooty and poor service. After being served by Bill that has completely turned around. He was friendly and helpful and inviting - the opposite of what we experienced a few years ago.
The wines are varied and very solid with some great dry reds that we enjoyed sipping.
The pricing structure seems to have undergone a change as well and for the better. While still not quite our favorite on the peninsula, we will definitely be back and happy to enjoy a glass or two on the patio.

Vineyard Anniversary Reserve Chardonnay

For the most accurate and detailed information about the Vineyard Anniversary Reserve Chardonnay, I would recommend visiting Chateau Chantal’s official website or contacting them directly. They can provide the latest information about this specific wine, including its flavor profile, the process of its creation, and any unique characteristics it may possess. We found this barrel fermented Chardonnay from a vineyard planted in 1986. Oaky with fruit notes. Paired with seafood and poultry. Highly recommended.

Caryl was so kind and helpful. Such a beautiful day and she suggested sitting outside. She even had me try some new wine that I absolutely loved.
Got a charcuterie board and it was so wonderful. Highly recommend coming to this place.

The hubby and I have been wine club members here for a while, and absolutely love the wine; BUT we love coming in for a glass because we ADORE the staff. Everyone is so down to earth, and caring, and clearly love what they do - which is introducing the rest of us to the latest and greatest flavor experience Fenn Valley has created. Exhibit A: I tried Meritage a couple times years ago, wasn't a fan. Today, Wendy, Deb and Linda had me try the latest version and I LOVED it. Now my only problem is I don't have enough hours in the day to drink all the wine I'd like to.......Thank you, Fenn Valley!!!!!

Great friendly staff. Enjoyable experience. Recommend to everyone.

The Dry Riesling

The Riesling from Fenn Valley Vineyards is a semi-dry white wine celebrated for its crisp acidity and a subtle sweetness derived from natural grape sugar. This wine is notable for its light and refreshing character, making it a versatile choice for pairing with a variety of dishes. It goes particularly well with seafood, chicken, and spicy cuisines such as Cajun and Thai. Additionally, it’s an excellent choice to be served with cheese and fruit. Fenn Valley’s Riesling is a testament to Michigan’s ability to produce top-quality Rieslings that are well-balanced and enjoyable.

This Riesling has a true German character with its sharp, refreshing body. The closest Riesling we have tasted similar to that we enjoyed near Wiesbaden along the Rhine River. This vintage has a light floral aroma in the nose with clear peach and apricot fruit characteristics on the palate and ends clean with no lingering aftertaste.

Capriccio Dry Red

Capriccio Dry Red - Michigan Vinyards
Capriccio Dry Red

For a long time, Michigan wines tended to be white and sweet. As the Michigan vineyards mature and experiment, we see some excellent full-body reds enter the picture. It has a big jammy berry fruit flavor with a subtle backbone of tannin.
