Waves and Wind on Saginaw Bay

A Moment of Wavy Bliss on Saginaw Bay

Saginaw Bay

In early April of 2015 there was a was very fresh and breezy weekend day. With northern winds, come big waves into Saginaw Bay. Here is a minute video of that sight. The beach is recovering from an historic low point in 2014.

The weather and wave conditions on the bay are historically famous for rapidly changing from a clear quiet day to a wavy, windy storm. You can check out the weather and wave conditions anytime on NOAA’s Gravelly Shoal reporting site.
