Huron County, Michigan July 25, 2012 – Lighthouse county park beach is closed due to high E coli levels. Testing on Tuesday showed levels of 344, 866, 2419, with an average mean of 897 colonies in the water at the beach. The allowed limit is 300. This is the second beach closing in the Thumb in the past ten weeks.
Retesting will take place the afternoon of July 25th
